About Bankier Apartments
Bankier Apartments, founded in 1962 by Leon Bankier, is a privately owned company. Our office is located at 406 E. Green St., Champaign. We specialize in professional property management exclusively for bankier apartments both residential and commercial in the Champaign Urbana area.
Miriam Booth, managing broker of Bankier Apartments, has been with the the company since 1980. She has served on numerous City of Champaign task forces and professional boards, including the local chapter of the National Apartment Association as a Director, Vice President and President. She served on the Board of Directors of Campustown 2000, a community wide project co-sponsored by the University of Illinois, whose goal was to revitalize and beautify the campus. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Champaign County Mass Transit District (MTD) and focused on the transportation needs of campus residents and merchants.
In addition to our 22 residential locations, we have also developed over 70,000 sq. ft. of commercial space in the heart of campus as well as 200,000 sq. ft. nationwide. We have contributed to the revitalzation of campustown, adding convenient living, shopping, and dining choices for University students and staff.
